Switched from coolant mist to flood coolant and it's a whole different game
I used to run my Haas mini mill with a mist system for 3 years because I thought flood would make a huge mess. Finally bit the bullet last month after a job in Phoenix had me fighting tool wear on stainless. Anyone else fight the switch for too long and then wonder why you waited?

My Haas VF-2 had me paranoid about flood coolant making a total swamp out of the shop floor for like two years. Then I finally ran a big batch of titanium parts and the mist just wasn't cutting it on tool life. Now that I've made the switch I'm kicking myself for all the carbide I wasted back then, lol.

Whoa wait... you did two years of titanium with just mist?! That's insane man. I can't believe you made it that long without your inserts just giving up completely.
