inCaught my A.I. training tool using the same test data for validation for 3 months
Printing a batch of sample paths before each training run caught this exact mistake for me.

inBest 75 bucks I ever spent was on a used book binding press
Nah you're overthinking it, that old glue is way too stubborn to just peel off. You gotta hit it with some acetone or mineral spirits, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrape like crazy. Anything else and you'll be fighting it for hours.

inThat podcast about 'preserving' abandoned places missed the point completely
Yeah totally, that "pure" exploration gatekeeping drives me nuts. I grabbed an old metal sign from a grain elevator that was getting demo'd next week, and a month later the whole place was a pile of rubble - that sign is the only proof that building even existed.

inWarning: Don't trust those "recapped" retro consoles on eBay
Used to think recapping was a simple enough job even I could trust random sellers with it. This post changed my mind though, I'll be cracking open anything I buy now to double check before powering it up.

inWasted $45 on a fancy fermentation crock that had a hairline crack
Did you try using a flashlight to backlight the crock before buying? I always pull out my phone light and run it across the whole surface looking for thin spots or cracks that way, especially on the bottom rim where damage hides. Also tap it gently with a metal spoon, a solid crock rings out clean but cracked ones sound dull or thuddy in spots. Bought one at a garage sale that looked perfect until I tipped it toward a window and saw a hairline running right up the side, saved myself the trouble.
