Rant: Feed rates had me going in circles until today
I kept tweaking things without much luck, got distracted by a coolant leak, but came back and nailed it. The part looks so clean now, feels good.

That "horrible sound just stopped" line is too real. I once messed with the feeds on a simple facing op for like two full days, convinced it was some deep machine issue. Turns out I had just fat-fingered the number and was basically trying to polish the part off with a whisper. The sound when I finally put in a real cut was pure relief.

Yeah been there. Spent half a day once just chasing chatter because my feeds were all wrong. Made everything too slow trying to be careful, just made it worse. Finally stepped back, looked at the material specs again, and bumped it up. That horrible sound just stopped. Such a relief when it clicks. Seeing that finish come out right is the best feeling.
