Had a tool holder slip on a Haas VF-2 last Tuesday

I was running some 304 stainless parts for a medical job and the CAT40 holder let go at 8k rpm. Scrapped the part and had to re-indicate the whole vise. Has anyone had good luck with shrink fit holders for heavy roughing?

$8k of medical parts later I guess he found the breaker.

I had a holder slip on a heavy roughing job too. Shrink fit holders fixed it for me, they hold way tighter than collets at high rpm.
