Spent about $80 on a smart thermostat last fall... my gas bill just came in $45 lower than this time last year.

Honestly, that's the thing with a lot of these small upgrades. They feel expensive upfront but the savings just quietly add up over time.

Yeah, until you do the math and realize it'll take 20 years to break even. Feels like a weird long-term bet on your own patience. My savings account grows faster than that.
