Just passed 1,000 kWh of solar production on my home setup

I finally hit 1,000 kilowatt hours generated from my rooftop panels since installing them back in March. That's about 8 months of offsetting my grid usage, and I actually checked my power bill yesterday and I've saved like $140 so far. My neighbor was skeptical about the upfront cost, but seeing that number scroll past on my monitoring app felt pretty good. Has anyone else here tracked their cumulative production and been surprised at the numbers?

Track the daily output too. It helps spot when panels get dirty or something's off. $140 saved is solid for 8 months, that adds up quick.

yeah but is it really that serious @ivan_perez? I mean checking daily sounds like a lot of work unless you're already staring at the app for fun. A dirty panel might drop you like 50 cents a day before you notice. I just check my bill once a month and if it looks weird I go poke around.
