My month-long wait for a tiny shutter cog

Got a Pentax K1000 in with a frozen shutter. Needed one small cog. Found a seller in Poland. They shipped it fast. Then nothing for weeks. Tracking said it cleared customs, but no updates. Called the post office, they said it was 'under review'. For a cog the size of a pea! Finally showed up after 30 days. Now I tell clients repairs might take a while.

Japan Post got me that same part in five days last month, actually.

Five days is still a long time to wait for a small part. It's a lens spring, not a heart valve for surgery. The world won't end if your camera is down for a week.
