My cheap backpack zipper gave out on a train in Prague

It happened right as I was getting off, and everything nearly spilled onto the platform. I used a binder clip from a hostel desk to keep it shut for the rest of the trip. Anyone have a better fix for a busted zipper that doesn't involve buying a whole new bag?

Binder clip is a solid move. Could also try a key ring or a small carabiner through the zipper pull. What kind of bag is it?

Yeah, a carabiner like @johnson.lee said is a good upgrade from a binder clip... you can actually clip it to a loop on the bag so you don't lose the zipper pull.
