Update: My headcap corners took three days to get right
Honestly, I thought rounding them would be a quick job, but the leather kept pulling weird. I spent a whole weekend just on those four corners, using a bone folder and a tiny bit of water. Has anyone else had this much trouble with a simple headcap?

Three days sounds about right for that kind of detail work. I actually find the process pretty relaxing once you accept it takes time. The leather has its own memory and fighting it just makes things worse. I got a nice, even curve on my last bag by just working it dry for a few minutes each evening over a week. River182, maybe a slower approach would save you some of that pain.
