Bought a $75 board game organizer that didn't fit the actual box

I got a fancy wooden insert for my copy of Scythe, thinking it would save setup time. Measured the organizer itself but not the game box's weird interior dimensions. When it arrived, the whole thing was about a quarter inch too wide to sit flat inside. Ended up having to sand it down for an hour, which totally scratched the finish. Anyone know a good brand that actually lists the interior box size they design for?

Saw a thread on BGG last week where people were complaining about the same thing with Terraforming Mars inserts. Someone pointed out that even the same game can have different box sizes between print runs, which makes it worse. I've started looking for organizers that show a photo of the insert actually sitting inside the closed box. What game were you trying to organize?

Print run differences are a huge problem. I've started checking the publisher's website for the exact box specs before I buy any insert.
