My coworker told me to stop using hashtags on Instagram last month, and my reach went up 40 percent
I tried it for two weeks and it actually worked, but now I'm wondering if it was the hashtags or just the algorithm being weird that week. Has anyone else tested going hashtag free recently?

Wait, 40 percent?? That is a huge jump just from cutting hashtags. I always thought tags were like the main way to get seen on there, so hearing the opposite feels crazy. My cousin runs a little baking page and tags hers to death, now I'm wondering if she's been doing it wrong this whole time. What kind of posts were you making, like were they already doing okay before?
