Warning: My hike in Yellowstone taught me to avoid national parks in summer
I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but going to Yellowstone in July was a huge mistake. The trails were so packed you could barely walk without bumping into people. I waited an hour just to see Old Faithful and it felt like a theme park line. The constant car noise and crowd sounds ruined the natural quiet I wanted. I think summer visits turn these places into zoos instead of escapes. My best day was actually driving through a random state forest with no one around. We need to stop telling everyone to go to the same spots at the same time.

But what if you're the one making it a zoo by expecting solitude in the most famous park at peak season lol

Wait what? So expecting to not be elbow to elbow means I'm the one causing crowds? Basically blaming people for wanting to breathe. Does that even make sense?

Right, because wanting personal space is clearly a crime against nature. I once tried to avoid crowds by going to a 24 hour grocery store at 3 AM and still ran into my neighbor.
