Vent: People keep using the wrong grease on dryer idler pulleys

I've seen three dryers this week where the squeak came back after a month because someone used white lithium grease on the idler pulley arm. That stuff dries out and gets gummy with the heat. The arm needs a high temp synthetic grease, like the kind for wheel bearings. I keep a tube of Permatex Ultra Slick in my truck now. What's your go-to for dryer pulley maintenance?

I used to just grab whatever grease was closest. Seeing how fast the wrong stuff gums up totally changed my mind.

Yeah, it's wild how some greases just turn to glue in the cold. Ever check if the wrong type can actually wear parts down faster, not just get gunky?
