Had the worst week in 15 years of appliance repair
Last Tuesday I got three calls in a row for the same Samsung refrigerator error code, drove 45 minutes each way, and found out the problem was a $8 thermistor on every one. Then on Friday a customer's washer flooded their basement because I forgot to tighten a drain hose clamp, which cost me $400 out of pocket to fix. Has anyone else had a week where one simple mistake wiped out all your profit?

Started keeping a similar list after a day last month where I drove an hour for a dryer that just needed its vent cleaned out. Felt like a total idiot wasting gas and time on something so simple. Honestly I used to think those lists were overkill and just another thing to keep track of, but now I see how much they save your sanity. That one mistake with the washer clamp really stings though, I bet that list is gonna have a permanent spot in your truck from now on.

Started keeping a list of common part failures on my phone. Cut down the drive time a lot. Helps to check that list before heading out.
