Had a weird issue with a door contact sensor giving false opens
Tracing the wires back, I found a tiny bit of corrosion on the terminal block that was causing intermittent contact, and I'm wondering what your go-to method is for diagnosing this kind of fault.

Actually, in my experience, just cleaning off the corrosion might not be enough for a long-term fix. The moisture that caused it could still be there, leading to the same problem later. My go-to method is to use a contact cleaner spray after scraping off the corrosion, then seal the terminal block with dielectric grease. That stops water from getting back in and causing more issues. A lot of folks skip the sealing part and wonder why the fault comes back. It's a bit more work, but it saves callbacks in the long run.

Honestly, skipping the sealing part is why I've had so many callbacks too.

Totally! I've been burned by that exact thing before. A quick clean just buys you time until the moisture works its way back in. Dielectric grease after cleaning is the only way I trust it to stay fixed.
