Bought a cheap glass break sensor tester online. Total waste.

Spent $45 on this thing from a site I never heard of. It said it could test any frequency. Tried it on a job in Springfield. Did not work at all. Just sat there silent. Had to drive back to the shop for my old reliable unit. Lost about two hours of my day. Anyone know a good brand for these testers that actually works?

Did not work at all" - yeah I feel that. I picked up a cheap tester once too and it was useless. Finally caved and got an ADI brand one from the local supply house, cost more but its been solid for years.

Hey, did you try blowing on it first? That's what I do with all my cheap tools when they don't work, and it's worked like zero times so far. Guess we both learned the hard way that saving a few bucks just costs us time and patience.
