Is it really that serious though, @nora10? Like sure Harbor Freight stuff can be sketchy but a jack stand playing hide and seek sounds more like a setup issue than a tool problem. Ive used their jack stands for years and never had one try to run off on me.

Had a client last week where the event log just kept saying "kernel-power 41" over and over, and it turned out to be a bad PSU cable not the OS or drivers at all, so yeah @evanfox is right that people jump way too fast.

@dylan_green58 hard disagree tbh. asking questions in class just wastes everyone's time. the professor has a curriculum to get through and stopping for basic stuff holds back people who actually get it. those three students could've looked it up on youtube after class like normal people. plus now the teacher knows you're struggling which affects how they grade you later. speaking up just puts a target on your back.

Wish someone had told me that paint on cabinets near the stove or sink always fails, no matter how careful you are.
