inShoutout to my old bakery boss who taught me to always weigh flour
Exact amount" just adds stress. Cooking should feel free, not like a science lab.

inFinally got my corner beads to stop cracking on a big Reno job
Bridging the gap" is exactly it. I used to be all about the 6 inch knife for control, thought bigger tools were for amateurs. But fighting each side of a corner separately just builds up too much mud in the wrong spots. Letting a longer blade smooth over the whole thing at once is a game changer. It feels wrong until you see the finish. Now my 10 inch is the only thing that touches a final coat on an outside corner.

inHad a squirrel nest ignite in a flue on a job in Portland last fall.
Had a possum family set up shop in a crawl space once, and the mom got real defensive when I shined my light in. I backed off and called animal control, because those things can bite hard (and they carry all sorts of junk). Let the pros with the thick gloves and cage come get them. Sometimes the safest move is just to wait for backup, you know?

inJust realized how much better a simple prompt is than a complicated one
Totally agree, that second prompt is perfect. Last month our group tried "a door that only opens at midnight" and it sparked way more ideas than a long list of fantasy kingdoms ever did. Just having that one clear picture to focus on makes everything flow so much easier.

inCan we talk about the local art fair last weekend?
Tbh the photography comparison gets thrown around a lot. But does it really fit? Cameras didn't copy a million existing photos to make a new one. What's your take on that being the core difference people are upset about?
