inLearned the hard way that heat can wreck a firing pin, cold soaking is my go-to now
Cold soaking is just soaking your food in cold water until it's ready to eat. I do it with instant meals on hikes, toss them in a jar in the morning and they're good by lunch.

inOur book club's stubborn standoff finally wrapped up
My friend’s book club almost broke up over picking books too... their “safe” pick was some dry history of paperclips that had everyone dozing off. Makes your compromise with @masona62 sound almost exciting, honestly. They stuck it out for three meetings in total silence before finally switching back to thrillers.

inI finally noticed how street signs use color for quick reading
Look at how traffic lights use red on top worldwide, so colorblind folks can still tell position. Exit signs always glow that same specific green so you find them through smoke. Even warning labels use bold triangles and yellow so your brain catches danger before reading. It's crazy how much work goes into stuff we only glance at for half a second.

inPro tip: Don't assume clients know what 'motion sensor' means
But like... is it really that bad to assume sometimes? @craig.parker we all do it... maybe just double-check if it's important.
