inMost dredge hands say heavy grease is best, but a thin coat stopped my swing gear from frying.
Had the same problem with my gear getting too hot until I tried a light grease coat. Too much grease can trap heat and cause friction burn. A thin spread lets it run cool all season.

inThinking about how dive comms have changed since I started
Man... I got tangled in a voice comms line once because the guy next to me was narrating his whole dive like a podcast. Total mess. Sometimes the old hand signals were just cleaner, you know? You point, you go, everyone gets it. Now you've got wires and someone's crackly lunch order in your ear... Feels like solving one problem just makes three new ones sometimes.

inUpdate: That overgrown path behind the creek actually leads to a gorgeous meadow
Consider how many hidden spots get ruined once they go viral online, turning quiet places into crowded messes. The act of finding something secret makes people want to share it, but then it's not special anymore. Old maps might lead to overgrown trails, but half the fun is in the struggle to get there, lol. Honestly, most 'finds' are just regular nature spots with a good story attached.

inI finally caved and use oil in my air fryer
What's the deal with no-oil fries always turning out so bleak? I mean, @hugo_ellis, your fries crying for avocado spray is totally something I've seen. I tried that once and they were just dry and sad. Maybe it's just me but a little oil really helps them get crispy. Without it, they're basically just steamed potatoes, which is no fun.
