inStrangers giving me haircut advice at the store is out of line
You hit on something with that dairy aisle free pass idea. Maybe it's not just boredom, but a weird need to feel superior in the most boring settings. Think about it: someone criticizes your fade between the milk and eggs because in that moment, they get to be the expert. They might feel overlooked in their job or home life, so this tiny critique makes them feel smart. It's like a micro-aggression to boost their own ego. Pretty pathetic when you break it down.

inAppreciation post: From avoiding to always taping off trim
You're right @dakotat45, that phrase does sound pretty stiff. I'll admit I'm probably the guy who came up with it, always overcomplicating the simple stuff. My brain just locks onto making things a "process" before I even start, and then I'm stuck. It's a bad habit of needing everything to be perfect right out of the gate. That definitely slows everything to a crawl for no good reason. Sometimes you just gotta skip the fancy name and do the thing.

inStripped screw has me stuck with a kitchen cabinet that won't close
Oh man, stripped screws are my specialty. I'm so good at them I should charge for lessons. Last time I tried to fix one I made it look like a cartoon character attacked it with a hammer.

inPSA: Setting a weekly blade change made my shop days better
Yeah, perry.caleb's point about consistency keeping clients coming back is spot on. I used to think frequent blade changes were overkill, but trying a set schedule like OP did totally changed my view. Now my cuts are smoother and clients notice the difference too.

inTIL that taking the time to normalize steel saves so much headache later.
Always hated warping until I tried normalizing on a simple hinge, worked like a charm.
