I used to roll my eyes at comeback countdowns, but now I get the hype.

The way my favorite group's last comeback built anticipation with daily teasers made me see how it connects fans. Now I'm all in for the countdown drama.

Yeah it's all part of that drip feed hype machine. I see brands doing the same thing with everything from car reveals to software updates now.

But does that drip feed really work? I've seen it backfire when the final product doesn't live up to the hype. What do you think brands gain from stringing us along like that?
