Serious question, had a client tell me she wanted a 'simple trim' but brought a photo of a full shag mullet
This was last Tuesday at my station in the back corner of the shop. She sat down, put the phone right in front of me, and said 'just like this, but don't take too much off.' The picture was a total transformation, layers everywhere, way shorter in the back. I had to stop and ask if she was sure, because a trim and that cut are two totally different things. How do you all handle it when the words and the picture don't match up at all?

Heard a similar one from my buddy who cuts hair. Lady brought in a picture of a pixie cut, said she wanted "just the split ends gone." He had to hold up the photo next to her waist-length hair and just ask "this one?

Reminds me of my friend who works at a print shop.

Yeah that's the worst. I swear some people think a "trim" just means any haircut at all. You gotta show them the photo and be like "this is a whole new head of hair, my guy.
