Watching my brother sort his Lego bricks sparked a grid system idea

I saw my little brother laying out his Legos by color and size on the floor. It was like a perfect, organized grid that still had some random spots. It got me thinking about using uneven grids in web design to break up boring layouts. I tried it on a project for a local bakery's site, mixing different sized blocks. The client loved how it felt both structured and playful. It's cool how stuff at home can turn into design tricks. Next time you're around family, maybe look for patterns in what they do.

Yeah, that structured but playful thing really works.

How do you decide on the actual sizes for the uneven blocks? Like, do you just eyeball it or follow a rough ratio?

Isn't that just how we pick clothes too?
