Finally hit a full month of booked work after three years of trying
Three years ago I started freelancing in web design and had maybe one project every other month. Last month I decided to cut my rates a bit and really push on local business listings. Last week, I signed my fourth client for the month, a cafe in Springfield that needs a new site. It's the first time my calendar has been full for a whole 30 days. Has anyone else found that a small price change made a big difference in getting steady work?

Cutting your rates was the smart move.

A full month is great, but is it really worth cutting your rates for? That cafe job might not pay the bills like your old projects did.

Wait, you cut your rates after three years of building up? That seems backwards to me. Getting a full calendar is great, but filling it with lower paying work can be a trap. That cafe job probably pays half what you were asking before.
