Our old sand mixer gave out mid-pour on a big gear job last Thursday.
The motor just seized up, no warning, right as we were ramming up the cope. We had to scramble and hand-mix the rest of the batch, which set us back almost two hours. What's a reliable brand for a replacement that won't break the bank?

Well, my old mixer gave out so often I named it after my last car. I'm probably not the guy to ask about reliability.

Funny story, my uncle had a mixer die right as he was showing off to a new customer, trying to land a big contract. Hand mixing that batch was the longest afternoon of my life. Simplicity has always treated us right, for what that's worth.

We've had our Simplicity mixer for eight years now, and it's been solid through some rough pours. Honestly, I'd just get another one of those if it ever quit.
