My kitchen drawer fell off its tracks while I was making breakfast this morning.

The metal guide on the left side just snapped clean through, so I had to prop it up with a stack of cookbooks. Anyone know a good brand for heavy-duty replacement slides?

Is it really that big of a deal? It sounds like a simple fix with a new slide, not a kitchen emergency. I'd just get a standard replacement from the hardware store.

Actually had that happen mid dinner prep once. It's a bigger deal when you're covered in flour and the whole thing gives out. Not just a quick hardware store trip.

Simple fix" until you're trying to cook and the whole drawer dumps out. That's a real hassle when you're just trying to make a meal.
