Why I finally ditched paper towels for good after a moldy sponge disaster
I used to think paper towels were wasteful but necessary for cleaning up gross stuff. Then last month I found a moldy sponge under my sink that I'd forgotten about for maybe 10 days. That sponge had been sitting in a dollar store bin with a plastic lid, and the smell hit me like a brick. I switched to those Swedish dishcloths instead, $5 for a 3 pack at Target, and they rinse clean and dry out fast. No more stinky sponges or piles of paper towels in the trash. Anyone else made the switch and found a brand that holds up better?
