Vent: My neighbor's weekly leaf blowing at 7am finally made me admit noise pollution is a real thing

I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about leaf blowers until that guy with the Stihl showed up every Saturday for six months straight and I couldn't sleep in even once, so has anyone else had a pet peeve turn into a legit ethical dealbreaker?

Yikes, that's rough @piper_green. Just a heads up though, most towns actually do have quiet hours that cover 6am stuff, even for lawn mowing. Might be worth checking your local rules - you'd be surprised how often people think they're in the clear when they're not.

Honestly, I used to think noise complaints were just old people being cranky until my neighbor started mowing his lawn at 6am every Sunday for two months. It got to the point where I'd flinch every time I heard a lawnmower engine start up, even if it was at a normal hour. Now I'm the one Googling "quiet hours local ordinance" like I never thought I would.

Just to clarify, quiet hours usually don't apply to lawn mowing during work hours.
