My neighbor in apartment 4B asked me to feed his cat but the food ran out early

He was gone for a week and said the big bag of kibble would last. It was empty on day five. I had to choose between buying a whole new bag of his specific brand for $40 or just getting a small, cheap bag to finish the week. I bought the small bag, but it gave the cat an upset stomach. Was I wrong to not spend the extra money on the right food?

Totally agree. Grabbed the cheap stuff once and it was a disaster. My cat looked at the bowl like I insulted her. Had to throw the whole bag out. Never making that mistake again, just not worth the hassle.
