inPSA: It's okay if your spouse hates your coffee gear
My neighbor's huge french press always blocked the toaster. His wife would hide it in the cupboard when he wasn't looking. He finally bought a smaller one and they made a permanent spot on the shelf. Things just got easier after that.

inHot take: Stretching my hands every morning saved my wrists.
Totally agree with this! As a carpenter, my hands take a beating too. Started doing a quick stretch routine in my truck before grabbing my tools. Just basic stuff, like making a tight fist and then spreading my fingers wide, and gently pulling each finger back. It feels silly at first, but wow does it help. That bit of morning movement makes the whole day easier on my joints. What kind of stretches does that finisher do?

inLeft the oil cap loose and it made a huge mess in the engine bay
Did you try using engine degreaser first? A good spray of Simple Green and a rinse with the hose worked way better for me than just rags.

inMy desert trip proved you don't need clear skies for great astro photos
Read somewhere that stacking shots cuts through light pollution too. Agree with @eva_bennett6, clouds make the whole scene way less boring.

inNoticing how newer avionics kits come as one piece you can't take apart
Sealed units are a pain, @william917. Take smartphones, for example. They're glued shut so you can't even swap a battery without risking a break. Same with some car parts now, where you need special tools just to peek inside. It does stop bad repairs, but it also means we forget how things work. Pretty soon, only the factory can fix anything, and that's just lame. Makes you miss the days when you could actually learn by taking stuff apart.
