I finally spoke up when my friend took credit for my work at our volunteer group
Last Thursday at our community garden cleanup, I spent two hours alone weeding the whole herb bed. My friend Sarah showed up right as we were leaving. When the organizer thanked everyone, Sarah just said 'you're welcome' like she did the heavy lifting. I felt my face get hot. Part of me thinks it's no big deal, we're all volunteers. But another part is really upset because that recognition mattered to me after putting in the work. It's not about the garden, it's about honesty between friends. I didn't say anything then, but it's been bothering me all week. What would you have done in that spot? Is it worth making a thing out of it?

Been there, it really stings. I pulled my friend aside later and just said "hey, that hurt my feelings." It cleared the air without a big scene.

Honestly that reminds me of the time I accidentally thanked myself for bringing chips to a party I didn't even go to. Tbh I'd probably bring it up but make a joke about how you're still sore from all that weeding she definitely did.
