Unpopular opinion: I actually like when my phone forces me to update overnight

I know everyone hates waking up to a phone that's been restarted and has new layouts or settings. But last month my phone did that overnight update thing and it fixed this weird battery drain I'd been dealing with for weeks. Also it patched some security thing my IT friend mentioned. So yeah I'm the weirdo who doesn't mind the popup. Anyone else secretly fine with forced updates?

Yeah mila, you said the phone feels slower and I get that but here's the thing - a lot of those overnight updates are actually optimizing stuff in the background. The slowness you're noticing might just be the phone doing cleanup for like a day or two after the install. It happened to me too but then it smoothed out. Also funny thing, I asked my IT friend about the security patch thing and he told me those updates often tweak how apps use memory which can make things feel sluggish at first but it's usually temporary. I've started just leaving my phone plugged in overnight with the auto update on and honestly I sleep better knowing that potential battery drain fix or security hole is getting handled without me having to remember to do it myself.
