Watch out for self-tapping screws on steel studs
I spent 45 minutes fighting a screw that kept stripping out on a metal frame job last week. Turned out I was using fine-thread screws meant for wood instead of the right self-tappers for steel. Anyone else made that mistake and wasted half a day?

Did you at least get a free workout out of it? I feel like half my tool budget goes toward screws that just laugh at me before stripping out.

Honestly, is a stripped screw really that big of a deal? People act like it ruined their whole weekend or something. I get that it's annoying, but you just grab a different bit or use a rubber band and move on with your life. Half the time it's user error anyway, people just forcing a Phillips head into a slot that clearly wants a square drive. It's not like the screw is personally out to get you.
