Saw a guy in Tampa try to dredge a drainage ditch with a shop vac and a garden hose.

He had it rigged to a kiddie pool and was getting maybe half a bucket an hour, but swore it was 'just as good' as our 8-inch cutterhead setup.

Gotta admire the hustle but that's a wild take. Our crew would be fired if we showed up with a kiddie pool.

My buddy's crew actually did that for a small patch job. The foreman lost his mind when he saw the inflatable flamingo.
