My foreman in Galveston wants us to switch to a new polymer flocculant, but the old-timers swear by the aluminum sulfate.
We had a test run last week that cut settling time by 15%, but the senior guys say it clogs the spray bars faster. What's your crew's take on this?

We switched and just deal with the extra cleaning (worth it).

Used to side with the old timers on alum sulfate. Saw that clogging issue myself with the new poly stuff, but that 15% time savings is real money. We just clean the bars a little more often now.
