Finally using a heat gun instead of a hairdryer for shrink tubing

I used to struggle with my wife's hairdryer for shrink tubing on speaker wire repairs, took forever and never looked clean. Picked up a cheap Weller heat gun at a garage sale for $8 last month and now I'm done in 30 seconds flat. Anyone else fight with the wrong tool way too long before upgrading?

Eight bucks for a Weller heat gun? I'm jealous. I paid forty for mine at Home Depot and still feel like I got a deal compared to what they cost now.

Forty bucks for a heat gun? Man, that's steep. I mean, I get they're useful but for something you probably use once a year? Not sure I'd pay that unless it came with a lifetime warranty or something.
