PSA: That one Saturday last month when I tried to save $50 by not renting a drywall lift
I was hanging 12 foot sheets in my basement in Austin and thought I could just muscle it up with a buddy. By the third sheet my back was screaming and we dropped a corner right through the floor register. Spent $140 on the lift for Sunday and finished the whole room in 4 hours, no sweat. Has anyone else learned this lesson the hard way or am I just stubborn?

120 bucks for a chiropractor visit later I realized the same thing. My buddy Dave and I tried to lift a 12 footer in his garage and it went about as well as your basement job. We ended up scratching the paint on his truck and I pulled something in my shoulder that hurt for a week. The lift rental is a no brainer next time. Did you at least get the floor register fixed okay or did that turn into another project?

Man it's wild how we all gotta learn this stuff the hard way before it sticks. I feel like that's just life trying to teach you a lesson you could've got for free if you'd just listened.
