TIL my 'quick' tile grout fix turned into a 4-hour color matching nightmare

I had one cracked tile in my bathroom and thought I'd just fill it with some leftover grout from the garage. The old bag had hardened into a weird pink shade, so I spent the whole afternoon mixing new stuff to try and get it to match the existing off-white. Anyone else have a simple repair that spiraled because of a tiny detail like color?

Did you ever get it close enough, or is there a weird patch that just stares at you now?

Got it close enough but now I see that patch everywhere, like when you learn a new word and suddenly hear it all the time.
