Serious question, I bought a $70 tile cutter for one bathroom floor and broke every single tile.

I saw a video online about how easy it is to lay vinyl plank tile yourself. The guy made it look like cutting butter. So I went out and bought this fancy manual tile cutter from the hardware store, thinking I'd save money on a pro. I measured my small bathroom, got 20 tiles, and started. The first one snapped wrong, then the second, then ALL of them. I ended up with a pile of broken pieces and had to buy all new tiles AND pay someone to do it. Has anyone actually had luck with those cutters, or are they just a trap for beginners?

My neighbor's cheap tile cutter only works on super thin ceramic, not modern porcelain.

Had to rent a proper wet saw for my bathroom floor, that cheap snap cutter is useless on thick stuff.
