My kid asked why our bathroom floor felt sticky after my tile job

I was sure the grout haze would wipe off with a sponge, but my daughter pointed out I'd used the wrong sealer and it cured into a tacky film. Has anyone else messed up a tile seal this bad and fixed it without starting over?

Honestly, that sticky floor sounds rough. I once helped a buddy seal his deck and we used the wrong stuff, ended up with this gummy mess for weeks. We had to scrub it down with mineral spirits and a stiff brush, which sort of worked but took forever. It never felt totally right after that. I'd be worried about getting that film off tile without damaging the grout. Maybe test a small spot with some rubbing alcohol first.
