Back in the day, we used to just mix concrete in a wheelbarrow. Now I see so many people skip the curing step and wonder why their patio cracks.

Honestly, a lot of modern concrete mixes are designed to cure faster. Maybe the old way just isn't as necessary anymore with better materials. People get fine results without waiting weeks.

Wait, I saw a thing where they tested fast-cure concrete after a few years. It had way more tiny cracks than the slow-cure stuff. So maybe faster isn't always better for the long haul.
