Saw a competitor's funnel at a conference and it wrecked my whole week
They had a 4-step email sequence that was just two short paragraphs each, and their conversion rate was 23% on a $200 product. I've been overcomplicating my own stuff with long landing pages and 12 touchpoints, so has anyone else found that stripping down to bare bones actually performs better?

Man, that hits close to home. I did the same thing last year, cut a 9 email flow down to 3, each one just a quick story and one link. Conversion went from 4% to 11%. People don't read, they skim, and every extra click or paragraph is a chance for them to bail. The long stuff only works if you're selling something complicated or expensive, like B2B software. For a $200 product, you just need to prove it works, show the price, and get out of the way. I'd bet your 12 touchpoints are actually killing you, not helping. Try stripping one thing at a time, see where the drop off happens, you'll probably find half your emails are just noise.
