Appreciation post for the before and after after switching to micro CMS

I moved from WordPress to a headless CMS for my site 3 months ago and the load time dropped from 6 seconds to under a second. Anyone else seen that kind of jump from just a backend change?

That 6 seconds to under a second jump is exactly what I saw when I moved from a traditional CMS to something lighter. My site was dragging hard on shared hosting, but after switching to a flat file setup, pages just load instantly with no backend bloat to slow things down. The difference is honestly way bigger than I expected from just a backend change.

Swapping to a static site generator fixed that for me too. Running a flat file setup from a cheap VPS is way faster than any bloated CMS on shared hosting.
