Took me 4 hours to figure out why my coworking space WiFi kept dropping

I was sitting in this spot in Bangkok at a coworking cafe and my video calls kept glitching. Tried restarting my laptop, checked the speed, even asked the barista. After 4 hours of frustration I finally realized I was sitting right next to the microwave. Soon as I moved three tables over, perfect connection. Has anyone else found a hidden signal killer like that?

Yep. Found out the hard way those industrial fridges kill WiFi too.

@jesse84 dude same here. I swear my fridge in the garage just straight up murders my whole 2.4ghz band when the compressor kicks on.

Is it just me or is it always something random like that? Seems like the stuff they don't warn you about is what gets you. @jesse84 has the right idea catching it early, though.
