Got some Facebook ad advice from a random dude on Reddit last month
Someone in a thread said to lower my daily budget to $10 and only target people who visited my site in the last 7 days. I tried it and my cost per conversion dropped from $45 to $12 in two weeks. Has anyone else gotten a weird hunch from a stranger that actually outperformed their usual strategy?

Reddit has some real hidden gems if you sift through the noise. That specific advice about the 7 day retargeting window makes sense because you're hitting people who already know you. Most folks overcomplicate ads with broad audiences and huge budgets. Sometimes the weirdest suggestions from random strangers just work better than the textbook stuff.

Oh come on, broad audiences and bigger budgets WORK exactly because you're testing new people instead of just bugging the same 50 folks who already ignored you once. That 7 day window sounds like a quick way to burn through your cash on lukewarm leads who still won't convert.
