I finally listened to a harsh comment about my ad copy and it actually helped

Honestly, I was running Facebook ads for my small online shop for about six months and thought I was doing okay. Then a marketing friend looked at one and straight up said, 'This sounds like you're yelling at people to buy your stuff.' She pointed out my constant use of words like 'AMAZING' and 'BUY NOW!!!' in every single line. Tbh, it stung a bit, but she was right. I changed my whole approach to focus on one clear problem my product solves, using normal sentences. I even A/B tested the old and new versions for a week. The calmer ad got a 15% better click-through rate. Has anyone else had to totally rewrite their ad voice after some blunt feedback?

Sometimes the best advice is the hardest to hear, right?

Totally see this with people stuck in bad habits. They'll ignore a dozen gentle hints but one blunt truth finally gets through.
