Warning: I keep seeing artists post their showcase work at 72 DPI and it's making everything look fuzzy on big screens.

Yeah, the whole "showcase work at 72 DPI" thing is a real problem. I read a blog post once that called it a zombie rule from the early web. It said your screen doesn't even see DPI, it sees pixel dimensions. So if someone makes a 1000 pixel wide image at 72 DPI, it's the same as a 1000 pixel wide image at 300 DPI on a monitor. The fuzziness happens when that 1000 pixel image gets stretched to fill a 4K screen. Artists should just save their work at the actual pixel size it will be viewed at.

Zombie rule" is a perfect way to put it, @grantm57. I fell for that 72 DPI thing for years, always wondering why my stuff looked soft. Turns out I was just making tiny pictures and letting the browser blow them up. Felt pretty smart when I finally figured out it's just the pixel dimensions that matter.
