My little fan art piece quietly hit 500 likes on ArtStation this morning, which is wild for me.
I've only been posting my digital stuff for about six months, so hitting that number on a portrait of my cat as a fantasy ranger felt like a real 'maybe I'm getting somewhere' moment, lol.

His name is Finn, he's a gray tabby with one white paw. I posted a video of him trying to "patrol" a line of ants on the patio and it just blew up. Honestly, I was just hoping for maybe 50 likes from other cat people. Watching the notifications come in was wild, I kept refreshing the app. It makes you want to try and capture that same magic again, but you can't force it.

Notice how the best stuff online often comes from people just messing around for fun, not trying to make a hit. You made a thing about your cat because you love your cat, and that real feeling is what people connected with. It's like the universe rewards genuine joy over trying to game the algorithm.
