Finally caved and bought one of those fancy coolant refractometers for $45

My buddy Dave bought one of those and spent half an hour testing every fluid in his garage - coolant, washer fluid, even his wife's windshield de-icer. He found out his antifreeze mix was way off for winter, which saved him from a cracked block when we hit -20 that January. Small thing but he still brags about it every time someone mentions cold weather.
